LONELY PLANET'S OFFICIAL GUIDEBOOK INFORMATION
Getting Started
Untitled Document
Ireland is small, relatively homogenous and fairly manageable, so long as you know what you want and have prepared adequately for it. The weather isn’t always cooperative, journey times between destinations aren’t always as short as their numerical distances might suggest and budgets need to be pretty elastic to cope with the high price of nearly everything but the air. Keep those points in mind and Ireland is a doddle.
DON`T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT...
Ireland won’t test your survival skills unless you’re the worse for wear in the middle of nowhere, but there are a few essentials you won’t want to leave behind:
Good walking shoes
Raincoat
UK/Ireland electrical adapter
A finely honed sense of humour
A hollow leg
