San Felipe and the El Rosario Monarch butterfly sanctuary

Sun, 21 Dec 2008 | By nomad_kiwis | Views [1818]

Mexico is all about families, they go everywhere together and are very close and most of the time very happy from what we see. We also notice that it is totally ok to be affectionate with friends and siblings and parents and there are always couples ... Read more >

Morelia

Sat, 20 Dec 2008 | By nomad_kiwis | Views [1243]

When we arrived in Morelia (the capital of Michoacan state) after quite a cold journey overnight by bus. We arrived at 3am and slept on the bus station floor until the world arose. We caught a 'collectivo' or shared taxi to town. It was a combi and we ... Read more >

Colima

Thu, 18 Dec 2008 | By nomad_kiwis | Views [1042]

We caught a bus all the way to Colima as the next town/city of Manzanillo didn't look all that appealing and it was cheaper to go all the way to Colima. We arrived there in the evening, it was dark and there was all this black stuff in the air. We realised ... Read more >

We were prepared not to like Puerto Vallarta as is a busy city and on the outskirts it didn´t look good. But when we got into the centre it was just great. We managed to hitch a ride all the way from Las Varas where Tito and Miguel from Las Tortugas ... Read more >

The boys buried their shoes
The boys buried their shoes "for safe keeping" while they were playing....took us quite while to locate Hamish's joggers and socks when we were ready to leave. He had apparently marked them with a cross, but we just couldn't find the exact cross!
