![People from the village gather at temple to celebrate the end of the dry season and the coming of the rainy season which they call the cross season. That hot and sunny Sunday in April at the small village of Somrong all the people gather, even those that moved to the city in search of a better life returned that day to celebrate with their families. The temple was built by famous monk Ven. Somnieng Hoeurn who was born there and held the ceremony that day. Each person has a bowl of rice which they patiently hold during the ceremony after which they donate it to the monks.
Custom dictates that women should cover their shoulders, they usually do this with white handmade lace scarf.
