    Tanah Lot the temple in the sea is one of those classic post card shots that many take at sunset on a visit to Bali. Unfortunately the weather was not on my side and had been raining for days so I just had to take the opportunity that I was given and that was a nasty grey old day. It was quite a busy day, there were many tour buses there and the place was crawling with people. The temple is located in the ocean and can only be accessed at low tide. Unfortunately it was high tide so we couldn’t get up close and personal but we were told we wouldn’t be allowed to enter anyway which I think is fair enough. We took heaps of pictures waiting our turn with the many people in the prime photographic points all taking turns. Everyone was very friendly and respectful to one and other no pushing and shoving for prime spots. Getting a picture without any other tourist in view was tricky.: by mrsgee, Views[217]
         		 We wandered around there for ages taking pictures of the gardens and the monuments. I found his old gentleman sitting in a temple area looking very regal & like he was mediating so I endeavoured not to disturb but on closer inspection he was reading the newspaper. It looked so funny but I guess this was his home and despite all of us invading tourists this was his time to relax. The fact is this temple region in essence is a holy place for these deeply religious people but their lively hood depends on the thousands of tourists who flock to see them like an attraction.          		 We came across a young boy who had a basket of goodies for sale. He was not a happy little chappie He was about 4.
