         		 The remains of one of the gas chambers.     We spent one of the most harrowing days of our lives at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp where over 1 million people died, 90% of them Jews. We were still in shock for several days after we visited Auschwitz. We weren't sure whether to put these photos up here for fear of appearing disrespectful. But our visit that day changed our perspective on life and war so much that we thought we should share some of the horrible images we saw.          		 Nowa Huta, the first socialist realist city ever built was a fascinating place to walk through. Built entirely for the employees of the Stalin Steelworks in the 1950's it was a great insight into the social engineering of the USSR. : by tk-tempany, Views[438]
