         		 On my way home, I stopped at Lahugala to observe elephants. But unluckily they had already left the river bank. What I could capture was this Hawk.          		 We were treated with so much hospitality at the farmer’s little palace. The garden was a true beauty with all types of vegetables grown. And it was a bird paradise. A coconut tree was full of these birds, (we call them WADU (means carpenter) birds and their nests. It was such a beautiful housing scheme.     We went to the above mentioned farmers house with his invitation. On the way what we saw was a young girl, her two little brothers and grandmother taking their cattle for feeding them.
