    The meadow is caked with spider webs this morning. The fog condensates on these natural nets just before they are snagged by the wind. I pass an English birdwatcher, his binoculars around his neck, who points to one woven masterpiece.: by karyn_p, Views[234]
         		 The path opens up to a clearing, bookended by a lock and a viaduct. Just over the bridge is an enormous expanse of land. Legend has it that Alfred the Great bestowed this pasture (today, Port Meadow) on the Freeman of Oxford as a war spoil.          		 Sleepy houseboats filled with sleeping people float up and down in the Thames; they brush up and creak against the path. A bright red boat is tethered to a mailbox, and sitting in it, on it, and around it are its homeowners - a clowder of river cats.: by karyn_p, Views[275]
         		 Somewhere between the abandoned Godstow Abbey and the train station is a footpath. Judging by the number of bikes a hiker must avoid being flattened by, it might be called a repurposed highway. A student tells me that Lewis Carroll went picnicking with Alice in wonderland along this path. Godstow Abbey, the burial place of Henry II's famed mistress Rosamund Clifford, was repossessed by Oxford University back in the 1920s. After it was damaged by the Civil War, locals looted its stone. The surrounding area is alleged to be haunted. On a day like this, in the fog, it seems like less of a fiction. Today the footpath snakes along the Thames River behind a row of quiet terraced houses to nowhere in particular. I decided to follow it.: by karyn_p, Views[395]

         		 Two otters meet in the middle of town and start to fight. They are getting used to living in an urban situation and they don’t seem to be disturbed by our presence.          		 Now I haven't spent much time photographing owls, I'm not sure why as they are amazing creatures, hypnotizing you with their eyes. I think for a photographer that it has a similar feel as to looking down your lens, the thought of
         		 The one thing I love about the UK is the diversity of birds, especially the fact we can accommodate such a variety of Birds of Prey, I especially enjoy getting up into the mountains and isles of Scotland, searching out shots of Golden Eagles and white tailed eagles (which can only be described as a bird the size of a door flying through the sky): by eatphotography, Views[271]
