    We stumbled acroos a show on Santa cruz beachfront. I took lots of pictures of cars because I thought they were cool. Thought I'd put them in another gallery so's to avoid boring people to death.          		 Santa Barbara. This is the main street in downtown sb. State street. It's quite dark at night, as though they using 40wt bulbs when they should be 100 or something. As a tourist it feels pretty intimidating, but with hindsight, Santa Barbara was actually quite nice.: by paul_byrom, Views[411]

         		 Hmm.. Somehow you're back in San Francisco again. This was a street that Lisa and I found on our hike around the city. I recognised a lot of the streets from car chase scenes in various movies. The whole city, like most of America was set out in grids with square roads so this street was a bit of a novelty.          		 So, it turns out that deer are seen as a bit of a pest over here, and people use various methods to keep them from eating their lawns. I had a few close encounters with them, and find it difficult to consider them a pest. Their really cool. I like the way they bounce.: by paul_byrom, Views[321]
     
    We've arrived in Santa cruz. It's on the way down to Santa Barbara. It's quite a tourist town. Lisa's really pleased because it reminds her of burnham.: by paul_byrom, Views[307]

         		 There was a big fairground in Santa cruz, and Lisa decided that it'd be rude to not go on one or two of them. She's really brave on things like that. I'd prefer to take pictures than bring my breakfast back up!: by paul_byrom, Views[364]
         		 I saw this place in the evening when we arrived in Santa Cruz and went there the next morning for a drink. Coffee there comes with four shots of espresso as standard. I had one and was wide awake for the drive to Santa Barbara, but it did make my tummy a bit squiffy. Guess that's why they call it bad ass.: by paul_byrom, Views[295]

         		 We hired a car to drive down Route one. The sea's on our right and round every corner there's a mind bogglingly beautiful view for 300 miles. It was a great drive!: by paul_byrom, Views[327]

         		 Sammy's diner was a cool place. It's down town San Francisco. It's a 60's place with aeroplanes hanging from the ceiling and motorbikes in the walls. We had a nice dinner for about 8 dollars.: by paul_byrom, Views[395]
         		 On our last evening in SF we went to China town for dinner. China town's a grotty place. We got dragged off the street by a desperate looking lady into a restaurant and had what was quite possibly the nastiest meal in our lives!     We saw alcatraz from the pier, but didn't bother with the trip over. It was way oversubscribed and seeing it from the pier was enough for us.: by paul_byrom, Views[325]
         		 The way that I have to put the pictures on means that they sometimes go out of the order that I'd intend for you to see them.          		 The trail in SF state park was about 5km long. there was a visitor centre at the end of the trail, where we hoped to get a cup of tea. It was closed. Lisa's still cheery though!: by paul_byrom, Views[311]

         		 On pir number 39 there are some resident sea lions. They choose to hang out there for the summer and migrate in the winter. They're very noisy and very smelly, but they're local celebrities.: by paul_byrom, Views[353]
