    There was a 2-day fisherman's festival end of July. On the first day, all the boats were decorated and there was a regatta, where anyone could board the boats; they sailed from Puerto Lopez to Manchalilla, a nearby fishing port, and back. In the evening was a beauty pageant followed by a major fiesta of music and dancing. All the fishermen were so drunk, no boats went out for three days!: by pmok, Views[547]

         		 Lots of tunas caught lately, these few alone weighed over 100 lbs. I am torn on the tuna debate; it is a delicious fish but it is being over-fished. Why waste tuna by canning it? eat it raw, seared, or cooked, no canning though!: by pmok, Views[358]

         		 Bolones, a popular breakfast item made with plantains and cheese. In this version I baked the plantains and had a difficult time making the ball stick; next time will boil (more common) and try again.: by pmok, Views[501]
