         		 The Fifa World cup on everyone's minds, a highly-skilled man juggles a soccerball with uncanny proficiency, the backdrop of Paris enhancing his routine. Having deserted South Africa at one of our most important, unified moments, I was filled with homesickness as we sat amid the soccer-crazed crowds.     An unblinking, unmoving street performer patiently waits for his next cue, the sound of money, to spring into action. The vibrance and spontaneity of the art in Paris was something that I had expected, but never fully fathomed. Inspiration lay down each street, behind brightly feathered masks and on the palette of every genre-specific painter. It is a characteristic of Paris that I long to experience again.          		 The streets just beginning to liven with lights and the aroma of food filling the air, Paris started showing a different atmosphere to what I had experienced during the day. A feeling of expectation and bustle, heightened by the cooling temperature, started building as the road filled with motorists and the ever-elegantly dressed Parisians stepped out in their evening wear. Bracing against a tree and holding my breath once more as I fervently wished I owned a tripod, my eye was drawn to a scooter, another popular mode of transport.          		 The majority of Parisian citizens seemed to prefer racing the streets on bicycles to walking, a novel concept for me. I was itching to join them! Having no tripod, I leant against a wall and held my breath as I waited for eligible bicyclists to pass by. Photograph details: Sony A200, 18-70mm standard lens.          		 An internationally recognized symbol of Paris, the Eiffel tower is 324m of looming, creaking, incredible metal structure. With this photo, I tried to convey a feeling of the precarious enormity of what I saw before me.
