         		 A view of the tent from the tabletop. I think we were in the Paulaner tent, which is one of the larger German brew-houses. The atmosphere is fantastic, a lot of people are in traditional dress, extra friendly, and by 1pm most of the tent is dancing on the tables to the music of the traditional bavarian brass bands that play on raised platforms in the centre of the tent.: by neri, Views[460]
     
    This is the only photo I took in Germany that isn't beer or Oktoberfest related. Sad but true! I don't even know what the building is, but it looked pretty cool. It's in the centre of Munich: by neri, Views[424]

         		 Ok so the next two photos are of our first full day at Oktoberfest. For the hardcore this involves arriving at the festival before 8am to queue for the tents, with your first 'mas', litre jug of beer, in your hand by 9am. We didn't arrive until 11am, and as such had to take any table we could find a spare seat on, which was with this group of Germans who were a great laugh but already onto their 4th mas.     They all loved posing for photos obviously. The guy on the right with the white hair was an English alcoholic living in germany and working at the campsite. He was trying to collect the empty cans in these shots I think. He eventually cracked the shits because everyone was getting too rowdy, a few glasses got smashed, and he tried to kick everyone out, but noone listened to him!          		 Ok so the next couple of photos are from one drunken debauched Friday night in Germany. The irony is that we didn't even leave the campsite this day - all these photos are from the on-site bar at the campsite. Kathy (pictured) and I met a group of English soldiers stationed in Northern Germany who had come down to Munich fort he Festival. They were already pretty wasted when we met them at about 2pm, and still going strong at least 4 hours later....: by neri, Views[349]
