    Ignored Inhabitant: Thousands troop into Kanha every year, mostly for a fleeting glimpse of the elusive tiger, ignoring much else including the forest’s rich birdlife. This Spotted Owlet, for instance, occupies a Banyan tree once inhabited by a Barn Owl and shares it with up to five other Owlets.          		 Langra: The one who limps – is a dominant male tiger from Kanha, who injured his paw in a fight over territory. There are far more male tigers in Kanha than females, prompting infighting and killing of cubs to bring the latter back into the breeding cycle.
