    The women in Lahachowk don’t have direct employment which leaves them in charge feeding the animals such as goats, cows and buffalos. This is affecting some of the fish populations and degrading the health of the ecosystem. This community has the task to clean the low price fish when the market is open.     Many women in Uganda ( like the one pictured here) are creating a hopeful future for their children by making and selling necklaces to pay for a better education. Women make less than $10 a month and a good education can cost up to $350 a year. Women in this village have a partnership with a US based charity called BOH to help sell their products in the USA.
