More of Florence

Thu, 30 Sep 2021 | By graynomadsusa | Views [32]

THE CHURCH OF ORSANMICHELE HAS BEEN—in turn—part of a monestary, a granary, a church and a museum. Remnants like iron rings on the ceiling that once hoisted grain are reminders of its former life. During the Renaissance the various trade ... Read more >

THAT IS THE QUESTION. With individual tickets starting at €8, purchasing a multi-day pass not only saves money, you don’t have to wait in line. But which pass is right, a 3-day Florence City Pass for €70 or the 3-day Uffizi Pass for €... Read more >

Florence in the Sunshine

After a breathtaking 150kms of superb twisties (as seen in the background), beautiful tarmac (imagine flying past quaint little viillages because the surface beneath you is willing you onwards!) and stunning scenery of barren fields edging their way right up to the base of HUGE mountain peaks that were soaking up the afternoon sun. And to think that most of the group went directly to the hotel because of this morning's rain.
We all later reflected (over 3 pints of Guinness!) that it was probably the best afternoon's riding we had each done. : by maria_brett, Views[458]
