    The March 11th tsunami reached within just a few feet of Kamaishi church and in the days after it was used as a shelter for local people whose homes had been destroyed. Previously just open to the local congregation it's been opened to the wider community as a kindergarten and meeting place. This man had lost family members and his home near to the beach and this period of time around the anniversary was proving deeply sad for him.          		 Nakagin Capsule Tower, 1972. Tokyo urban landscape is shaped by history of war and natural disaster and continual process of restructuring and growth. This eccentric residential and office building which looks like stack of washing machines is an icon of the postwar Metabolist movement.
