         		 In order to get to the 3rd, and most impressive Plain of Jars site (there are over a dozen sites, but only 3 are sufficiently cleared of UXO to be visited safely) you must walk through rice paddies and grazing water buffalo. Surreal for a city girl....: by lolo, Views[646]
     
    The remains of a wrecked Soviet tank. Support from the USSR for the fledgling communist regime in Laos was extensive. There used to be many more such wrecks, but most have been dismantled and the scrap metal used elsewhere.: by lolo, Views[729]
