         		 Homeless, near Pashupatinath temple: I had been to Pashupatinath temple two times during my short stay in Kathmandu. The Hindu temple, situated on both sides of the Bagmati river, is a metaphor for the duality of life & death, creation & destruction. On both occasions I passed by this mysterious homeless person in the same place facing the wall, of unknown gender and age.     Streets of Thamel, Kathmandu - It has never ceased to astound me the strength of the human will and I experienced this first hand in Nepal trekking where I had the fortune of being assisted by porters who would sometimes carry baggage double their body weight over difficult terrain.
