         		 Sunrise Over Everest. Taken from the summit of Gyoko Ri (17,585ft) about half way through a twenty day expedition around the Solu Khumbu region in Nepal. In a season that saw much tragedy, many say as a result of the mountain's commercialization, at that moment we understood it's draw for so many people, despite the risks.          		 Boudhanath in 4D. One of the holiest sites in Nepal, the Boudhanath stupa is an awe inspiring ancient site in Kathmandu.          		 Dance of the Yak Train. For anyone who has traveled in the Himalayas, yaks can be seen around every turn, along every pass and on slopes of impossible steepness. They are the beasts of burden that necessitated the famous trans Himalayan trade route between Tibet and Nepal. Often surly and unruly, they can carry over 100kg on their backs. One tip: Always walk on the inside of the trail when passing yaks, as they have a nasty habit of knocking unweary travellers off the side of the mountain, myself almost included.: by grantstirton, Views[993]
     
    The Long Walk Home. Captured at the highest airstrip on earth. Approximately 12,200 feet above sea level, the little dirt track at Syangboche services the largest village in the Everest region, Namche Bazaar.          		 VILLAGE SCHOOL CHILDREN These children from the village school I visited in Nepal had a certain vulnerability about them that captured my heart. They all wear uniform and are able to learn with resources from other visiting nations like New Zealand which includes my college.          		 ANAPURNA TRAIL I am now half way up the mountain trail to the school we visited and I loved how the green of the bush contrasted against the ice blue of this mountain stream as we passed it. I wanted to capture the water rushing over the rocks.     FISHTAIL MOUNTAIN POKHARA Waking up in the morning is one thing, but waking up to this magical sacred mountain in your backyard is another. This rarely seen unobstructed view of fishtail mountain needed to be captured. I loved how the time of day accentuated the sharp angles of the peak , reaching 6993M, to the rugged snowline whilst the foreground remains in the shadow of the night.: by taylahblakemore, Views[1651]
         		 AVAILABLE PARKING Knowing the Nepalese are honest and trusting people, a gent spoilt for choice whilst parking his bike, decideds right here will be fine.
