    After the first day some people disembarked and we took their more favourable positions away from the engine and the toilets. Personal space was a foreign concept on this boat, and we loved it. The levels of tolerance and patience that we witnessed were life changing for us. Not a single complaint was made about the difficult conditions. An incredible community spirit existed on the boat.          		 200 Peruvians and 2 Aussies crammed into the passenger deck for the five day journey. We arrived at the port in Pucallpa 12 hours prior to departure. When we boarded, the only position available for our BYO Hammock was right next to the engine and the toilets.
