         		 A pylon in the hills north of the village. Even in the deep wilderness, evidence of man's presence can be found. Almost 200km above the Arctic Circle, Abisko does not witness the sun rise above the horizon in winter. Instead, the village sees a bright twilight lasting more than a couple of hours during the middle of the day.          		 Sami herders work and live very closely to their Reindeer, which has made the Reindeer very friendly, unafraid, and inquisitive of humans unlike farmed deer in other parts of the world. The Sami herders keep warm by making a fire in their wooden huts with the Reindeer roaming around outside. The Sami hut has a sloping roof to let the snow slowly slide off the sides, with a small hole in the top for the smoke to escape.: by livvy, Views[681]
         		 The Sami people are the indigenous people from Lapland. In Sweden only the Sami people can own Reindeer, which they use for food, clothing, trade and labour.
