         		 After the ceremony all the people cheerfully celebrate and dance on the scorched dusty red earth to which they have grown accustom to. Even though they have a hard life through song and dance they find a way to overcome this hardship. These people don’t have a lot but they still find happiness in the simple things.: by view, Views[633]
         		 People from the village gather at temple to celebrate the end of the dry season and the coming of the rainy season which they call the cross season. That hot and sunny Sunday in April at the small village of Somrong all the people gather, even those that moved to the city in search of a better life returned that day to celebrate with their families. The temple was built by famous monk Ven. Somnieng Hoeurn who was born there and held the ceremony that day. Each person has a bowl of rice which they patiently hold during the ceremony after which they donate it to the monks.          		 I would like to tell you a story of a place that left a strong impression on me. Upon entering the Somrong village at Shoutnikom district in Siem Reap in Cambodia there was a boy whose gaze is fascinating. He had certain, sincere and naive energy about him. His name is Leengphour and he penitently waits for his mother to finish her work so that they can join the rest of the village at the ceremony.          		 Monks are dependent on on the generosity of others for their most basic needs. Alms bowls sit cleaned and ready for the morning walk.
