    There were a lot of people when we went, so we had to wait in line for a long time (about an hour and a half, in total). When we came out of the castle and the gardens in the afternoon, there was no line anymore. Moral of the story: going early is not always the best way to avoid lines. : by ramsaym, Views[390]
         		 This is the Palace of Versailles (from down the street). It was the palace that Louis the XIV (14th) made when he was tired of living in Paris. That is the gyst of it anyways. So he decided to show off the Power, culture, and wealth of France by building a really big castle. : by ramsaym, Views[596]
         		 More cooking. This was especially interesting because there was no cutting board, only one knife (luckily no one else was cooking) little cutlery. We ate out of our tuperware.: by ramsaym, Views[441]

         		 We walked along the other little Island in the middle of the Sienne (not Isle de Cite, with the Notre Dame, but the other one) and were taken a back by the number of people buying ice cream. It was insane. There were about 20 ice cream shops in the space of two blocks, and each one of them had about 20 people in a line waiting for ice cream. This is a picture of one of the lines.          		 L'arc de Triumphe! Around it is a round-about that is about 5 lanes wide, but there are no lane lines. It was pretty much a big free-for-all. I learnt later that this is the one place in France where, if you get in an accident, your insurance does not cover you.
