         		 To Italy, With Love From France. From where I stood in France I could see the Italian Alps. There is something majestic about standing in one country and seeing the cusp of another. When looking deeper, you can see the bridge that leads the way and the clouds seemed to be pulling you further, to adventure into the unknown beyond. : by katielongleyphotography, Views[261]
         		 When travelling to Val D'isere in France, I wanted to document the mountains beyond the ski resort. I think this picture represents my lasting impression on the place. When I was atop the mountain with nothing but my camera, I felt a sense of deep peace that can only be accomplished by immersing yourself in complete nature.          		 This damn has been built in between Val D'isere and Tignes in France. On passing it between the resorts I felt that I had to visit this place where man had intervened in nature. There were no bus routes so I hiked for nearly 3 hours to reach this spot.          		 I was attempting to discover the mountains beyond the ski resort in Val D'isere, France. I had taken the ski lift up Le Fornet and had taken the hikers path over the mountain. As I passed a man, I turned around to watch his ascent up the path. There were no skis here.     This photograph was taken off the ski path in Val D'isere, France. I went as far as I could on the ski lifts and then had taken the mountain paths to discover this church. I was struck by how, so far from any settlement, there was a church looking out towards the Italian Alps.          		 Nothing was still at the Café des Arts, the lights were spinning, people doubling, beers vanishing. Alex wasn't too sure whether he had attended too many screenings for a day or had had a pint too many.: by oceanico, Views[204]

         		 By the end of the day and the trip, me and my sister decided to go to this REALLY tall ride at an amusement park. It was really fast and we were terrified, but even so, I was there with my camera trying to capture the best shot of it.: by luisacneves, Views[282]

         		 Two days later, I packed my bags and went to Paris. I've made it
         		 Sailing on the Seine - Paris at night. This is one of the simplest pictures I have taken in my life. My friends and I went backpacking to Europe and visited various countries. France is one of my favorite European countries and I guess you can see why. It was around 9pm when we decided to rent some bikes and see the city from a different perspective.          		 Sophie waits for dinner. On the table rests the fresh bread made earlier. Before eating there is a minute of silence and then a song. Life on this farm is all about living off the land and maintaining sustainable practices. : by aroundland, Views[255]
     
    Till mixes the dough for the bread. The amount of mixing is shared between whoever is present at the farm. It takes about 2 and a half hours to get a good consistency, all the while Bob Marley's
         		 This well sustains all life on the farm. The water is taken straight from this spot and tastes pure and refreshing. When reaching down and scooping up a glass it's best to take from the top so as not to retain any sand in your drink.: by aroundland, Views[273]
         		 Till works on a new project for the farm. The dance floor was built using wood from the field and will host a number of people for an upcoming party. On this farm in rural France visitors can come and stay for as long as they want, on the condition that they help with daily functions. There are caravans located along the property along with several rooms within the farmhouse and the area is decorated with projects and artwork done by past inhabitants.          		 This may look like a graveyard for trees but this area provides wood for building, cooking and heating, which sustains the farm through long winter months. The land also feeds the grazing goats and houses many wild mushrooms.: by aroundland, Views[220]
