    This tree is the Chinese Crested of the botanical world. It´s so bizarrely ugly, yet they´re everywhere!! according to the postcards though it´s all quite pretty in summer.: by eks, Views[377]

         		 This is a big shopping strip in Frankfurt - it went on and on for what seemed like kilometres, absolutely putting the Queen St Mall to shame. Mercifully, I was there on a Sunday so everything was closed. Had I been able to actually go shopping I may never have made it out alive. : by eks, Views[382]

Apparently the greatest commercial offerings Australia has for Germany´s esteemed shoppers are suspiciously European-looking chocolates and ice-cream served in Belgian waffles.     These are the old buildings. Aren´t they pretty? there are a number of shots of delightful but largely insignificant buildings in my collection, simply because the novelty of buildings that look, at least (they´re mostly rebuilds after WW2), older than Australian white settlement just doesn´t seem to wear off.: by eks, Views[473]
