    Just a block away from the squalor and the dirt of the river is this rather pleasant corner cafe in a quiet, clean charming street. This is teh French side, of course. : by doherty1957, Views[875]

         		 A castle built on a rock. Within the rock there had been carved out a couple of Hindu temples into which non-Hindus were not allowed. There was also a temple at the top of the castle and although non-believers were not allowed there they didn't police it and I didn't know.     Non Hindus are not allowed in the main temple but they are allowed to take photos from the roof of one of the outer temples. I found the white temple rather stunning: by doherty1957, Views[779]

         		 Mysore palace. It's not allowed to take photos inside the palace which is quite a stunning place. There is a stage that overlooks a courtyard which was the most impressive place with columns and carvings of Hindu gods.
