New York the hotel-less way

USA | Tue, 23 Jun 2015 | By los4words | Views [608]

I’d not been to New York before and wondered how it could outdo Chicago for the drama of its urban landscape. Well (and mercifully), Chicago didn’t have a Ground Zero to give it the edge. Expect more hustle and bustle, noise and crowds ... Read more >

“They gave me back my reason to live”. That’s the love Warren has for a pair of Jack Russells, Bronx and Gypsy. He became their dad when a mate upped and moved to Queensland a couple of months back. It was the day after he’d tried to end it. He’d stood at the curb of a pedestrian crossing on George Street waiting for the very moment before a bus would pass by. He lifted his foot to take the step but a woman pulled him back by his red rucksack and saved his life. It wasn’t his first attempt. The burden of living hand to mouth on the streets is a heavy one. He’s quite optimistic now, “I was saved for a reason”.: by ramonandhika, Views[804]
