    Three generations in Dimen, a Dong-minority village in China's Guizhou Province. Since the young generation often has to leave their homes for jobs in the city, it's the grandparents who bring up the children. The Dong people teach children about life by making up songs - something that is also used when trying to impress a love interest. by: guizhouimpressions Views[1210] The whole village works on a new building, even children and elderly are involved. Since Dimen is hidden amidst Guizhou's endless mountain ranges, the villagers are still used to making everything themselves -mostly as a community effort. by: guizhouimpressions Views[1208] A grandfather & his granddaughter are resting in the shade of one of Dimen's bridges. These impressively colourful constructions cater for the community as a meeting space, shade and to connect the different parts of the village that embrace the river running through it. by: guizhouimpressions Views[1175] A grandmother carrying her grandchild on the back, chats to two farmer women who are washing the crops in the village river.     Children almost never leave the Raso: the closest city is about 60km away and is hart to reach without a four-wheeled drive, which people there obviously don't have. Life is simple and safe, nature around is beautiful and a large piece of land - 6,4 thousand square kilometers - is destined to the Pankararés by Brazilian law. In spite of that, kids usually just want to grow old, find a job and move out of the desertic place. This is still the dream of many adultos, too.: by raquel_tgur, Views[268]
