These mountains were formed during a volcanic eruption about 10 000 years ago.
The ryolite stone taints the mountains red, and the minerals emerging from the hot-springs colored the ground yellow,red and green.
The diverse geology of the mountains drove me into a spectacular flow of colours and a dramatic surnatural fairy landscape, where you can feel Earth alive.
With these photographs, i wanted to capture my ambiguous feeling this landscape turn me into. Indeed, even if it is an unliveable place, desertic and far from civilization, life is here latent and organic. Keeping in my mind the Tales and Saga of the past in this land of Spirits and Outlaws, i'd like my photographs to offer a meditative contemplation, and build the backgrounds of an imaginary scene.: by guillaumefandel, Views[1112]
