    Steppes of Wonder -Day 1: Horse riding on the Xilamuren Steppes of Inner Mongolia, China during the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival in 2012 on a sightseeing tour of the mystical land. Some of us opted for the cheaper, quite interesting hay "ride-ish" journey through the lush grasslands on a gorgeous early autumn day. Our horse ride, hay ride led us to the yurt, where we enjoyed milk tea and Mongolian snacks prepared by the pastoralists, the cattle caretakers.
