    On my last night in this hostel in Agnes Waters here, I finally see it, though rushed the time may be, just a few minute till they removed it, is all I had, to see and photograph this large and beautiful a Australian Green Tree Frog! by: tazau Views[864] By the pond nearby, soon after yet another ever drenching rain, in Agnes Waters, I bide my time for the few hours of light cloud and sunshine, testing my new camera, by slowly chasing dragonflies. by: tazau Views[731] During yet another heavy downpour, through yet another week of storms, roads cut off to get out of town, a praying mantis comes into the hostel, possibly to escape the flooding rain. It has one leg missing, which was somehow torn right off, a few meters away. by: tazau Views[622] After a long walk out, on the road to 1770, I took a turn and headed towards a quiet beach. I walked back quietly along the ever eroding beach, with trees uprooted all the way along, from the 3 bad storms lasting 4-10 days each, in just 5 - 6 weeks. What a difference a day or 2 makes! It wasn't just here that received 3 long bad batterings, but the majority of the Queensland an NSW east coasts! by: tazau Views[740] On my first night in Agnes Waters, I took a walk around in pitch black night, on the semi slippery path, in the hostel yard. On the way back to the light, I came across my first, in pitch black night, with my very first very large, ugly, poisonous, pesty Cane Toad. I met lots of along the way, out in every weather. most were small and moving fast, but this was and slow to moving, posing for my camera. by: tazau Views[757]
     
    Rustic. Experience the beautiful sunrise in Islas de Gigantes.. During low tide, you can walk on the sandbar to reach other nearby islets. by: karrie Views[550] Islas de Gigantes is known as the Kingdom of Queen Scallops. This particular type of scallop has a very minimal bacterial content , which makes it the only type to be accepted for export in the U.S. Gathering queen scallops is one of the most common sources of living of the fishermen. The immense supply of scallops, they can literally collect up to two to three tons daily! by: karrie Views[763] Antonia Island is one of the famous islets because of its pristine beauty: white sand, crystal clear water and magnificent rock formations. It is one of the best sites for snorkeling. by: karrie Views[694] Fossils of the Gigantes (means giants) are being preserved in the caves of the island. According to folklore, giants used to live in these islands. And that's where the name Islas de Gigantes came from. Islas de Gigantes in Carles, Iloilo is one of the unchartered tourist destination in the Philippines. If you're a big fan of spelunking, be amazed with the stalactites and rock formations inside the cave. by: karrie Views[1489]
