    This is a traditional Aboriginal cave painting at Injalak Hill, 5kms west of Gunbalanya in Arnhem Land, NT. Painted with white and red ochre this painting is believed to be over 10,000 years old. Hand stencils are very common in Aboriginal rock painting, this particular one is considered very rare due to the detail added into what would normally be negative space. by: arnhemland Views[1183] Once the women are feeling fresh again after their fragrant smoke bath they set about grinding down small stones of ochre.     The Jordanian government is increasingly pressuring the Bedouin to adopt an urban existence and along with the allure of consumerism and ostensible affluence that it promises the Bedouin are slowly being drawn from their nomadic lifestyle. Building a school in the area occupied by this tribe has encouraged the families to take a more permanent living arrangement. The appeal of a culture bent on consumerism is both literally and figuratively just over the next hill. As the children grow into young adults they learn by contrast the value of the relaxed and simple lifestyle they’ve always known.
