    In the southern part of Lake Malawi in the village of Mbamba is the village school. There are around 1,200 children enrolled in 8 classes, meaning there are over 100 children in each class from year 1 to year 8. The classes are under-resourced with low teacher to children ratio and insufficient books and pencils.
