    On the way to Mt Cook we came to a trail that led to this isolated lake stretching out and around the cliffs on either side. Upon arrival we were greeted by picturesque sun and blue skies within minute’s and with no warning clouds from the far end of the valley came rolling across the lake enveloping us like a thick fog form a horror movie.
