Monument in Uhuru ('Freedom') Park, which owes its existence to Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai, who started the Green Belt Movement and saved the park from Moi's bulldozers in the 1980s (Moi famously suggested that she should be more of a proper woman in the 'African tradition') - it's a nice place to picnic during the day but somewhere to steer clear from at night.: by beth_king, Views[587]
