![Two years ago I went to a very small town named “Tuningo” in the east side of the Dominican Republic, along with a group of volunteers from the organization Techo (Un Techo Para Mi Pais). The situation in this particular village was unbelievable. This picture represents the reality of my country, the side which is rarely shown and barely acknowledged by those of us, lucky enough to belong to a blind 2% of the population.: by alinaep, Views[773] Two years ago I went to a very small town named “Tuningo” in the east side of the Dominican Republic, along with a group of volunteers from the organization Techo (Un Techo Para Mi Pais). ![Sea-gulls are a common sight in industrial countries. Large, loud and a bother to all residents of the countries in which the birds can be found as they litter the docks and shorelines. I estimate 3% of locals / nationals in countries where seagulls are found have pictures of the feathered loud-horn. As for me, I live in a country with no sea-gulls. Long and short of it; I was fascinated with the birds and I own 60 photographs of the specie fit for publication. This particular shot speaks of the mischievousness and majesty of the gulls. Finding warmth in a chimney and especially, striding with outstretched wings, speaks of the regality one can discover in mundane, as long as the subject is observed through refreshed eyes. : by benjamin-drakes, Views[484] Sea-gulls are a common sight in industrial countries.
