The only
The only "luxury" found along the trek are the pit toilets located near the designated campsites along the route. This one, found at the Shira Hut campsite is 3720 meters above sea level. These structures are the only sign of civilization on the mountain, but the only amenities the offer are a metal roof and a hole cut into the wooden floor. Buckets placed outside each door are to used to "clean" up after climbers with less than perfect aim.
