While visiting the schools near Jinja, I wanted to not only support change that builds a better educational future for the children in the villages, but I also wanted to inspire them with the wonder of photography. On this trip I took with me my instant film camera to share the joy of photos with children and families that had never seen or taken a picture before. This young girl in school uniform clutches the only photo she has ever seen or had of herself. She watched in wonder as the photo slowly developed before her eyes. After taking her picture, I showed her how to use the camera to take a photo of her brother. She ran off laughing, taking photos of other children until the film pack ran out. She returned the camera to me smiling, holding tightly to her own photograph.: by audreyjeane, Views[1009]
