Sayap ibu is an orphanage to disable children in Yogyakarta. In Sayap Ibu, I see how the children surviving their life. They had been treated as ‘persona non grata’ by their genetic parents. In here, volunteers always care to the children. Patience and compassion live in their daily life. In bahasa Indonesia, Sayap Ibu is a phrase which came from two words. Sayap means wing. Ibu means mother. Like a mother’s hug, this place gives warmth to the abandoned and careless children.
