Norway is a ruggedly beautiful country of mountains, fjords and glaciers. The 'Land of the Midnight Sun' has delightfully long summer days, pleasantly low-key cities, unspoiled fishing villages and rich historic sites that include Viking ships and medieval stave churches. Norway prizes its stunning natural wonders and retains a robust frontier character unusual in Europe. It's not all frozen tundra, either. The temperate south includes rolling farmlands, enchanted forests and sunny beaches as well as the dramatic Western Fjords.

After leaving the plush comfort of Kent and Leslie's apartment in Amsterdam, Devin and I boarded a night train headed for Copenhagen, Denmark. School just let out for the summer in Europe, so all the trains were pretty much booked solid. We ended up ... Read more >

Read more >

Read more >

Read more >

Norway Adventures

After a couple of days resting up in London after my ski trip I then boarded a plane to Bergen in Norway. My flight was delayed by 8 hours which is always a good start to any holiday. Anyway I landed at about 11pm and got the city-airport bus and arrived ... Read more >

In Love with Lofoten

What a magical place! We were lucky enough to book a trip during the summer solstice and sat out on deck of our ferry, in the sun, at midnight. Hilarious. Of course, time does not indicate   light hours in northern Norway.   ... Read more >

Introduksjon

Read more >

I don't even like travelling

Fri, 14 Mar 2008 | By allwelcome | Views [142]

'But you've been to 21 different countries!' I know, I know. It doesn't even make sense to me. I'm just a victim of circumstance. A pawn in the game of life. A hapless innocent wanderer in the jungle of life... yes yes.. okokokok, I'll get on with ... Read more >

With Thanks

Tue, 4 Mar 2008 | By allwelcome | Views [125]

I've lived in Norway, off and on for 10 years. Is been a place of peace and rejuvenation for me. My first impressions, coming from Australia, was that it was picture perfect. The houses were charming and well kept. One hardly ever sees a house in ... Read more >
