    This is the group who had Ray as our tour guide. One local guide called us

         		 We stayed at the Kerry hotel in Beijing. This lovely woman was calling the elevator for us. Our guide told us there was a big toy in our room and he'd see how many of us knew what it was.          		 This lesser panda was about 100 feet away, but as soon as he saw us coming, he ran over to the wall where we were standing and watched us as closely as we were watching him.: by suziqtn, Views[260]
     
    Of course, the main attraction for everyone were the pandas. This was my favorite one of one of them chowing down on bamboo. Although there are over 50 varieties of bamboo, they only eat the arrow bamboo.: by suziqtn, Views[262]

         		 In Pit 1 there were over 6,000 warriors found in 1974. They were smashed into pieces mostly the size of a U.S. half dollar and burned in rage by the 700,000 the emperor had working on his tomb.: by suziqtn, Views[145]

         		 Repair work is under way toward the back of pit 1. They believe there is another pit outside this building and plan to eventually dig there. Modern technology allows them to realize when there is something underground.: by suziqtn, Views[133]
         		 I'm standing in front of one of the repair areas in Pit 1. It takes 18 master craftspeople a year to put 15 warriors back together again. Talk about job security!: by suziqtn, Views[139]
         		 Both in Pit 1 and here in the headquarters pit, you see warriors with their hands extended and horses a small distance away. They were chariot drivers, but since the chariots were made of wood, they didn't survive.: by suziqtn, Views[135]
