Chioggia is also known as
Chioggia is also known as "little Venice", in fact its structure with canals and bridges is reminiscent of the much more famous city. Compared to its older sister, it keeps a spontaneous populous and is the fishing town par excellence, with a "fishbone" urban architecture. This is the central canal - Canal Vena (the “vena”): all the boats are out and the canal is quiet, looking like an empty street.
