    I visited Thailand in October 2012, to see the wonders of its culture. It is a culture that has formulated itself over the years to adapt the the growing needs and desire of the tourists. One such thing is the animal sanctuaries, where humans can get up close and personal with 'wild' animals. The Tiger Temple is located approximately 2.5 hours south east from Bangkok. This scene captivated me. We witness the strength on the tiger in its sheer size and muscles, but in contrast we see a fragility too, it when it feeds from a bottle. The tiger's goat and the colour of the monks clothing work in unison to ensure focus is on them in this scene. It is quiet simply a view of nature being nurtured. : by elayne, Views[213]

         		 Mohammad Hasim, a burmesse moslem, is one of hundreds among other Moslem who came to Chiang Mai, Thailand to beg for money during Ramadhan month. Because of his legs disabilities, he begs around Chiang Mai, spending some time in the morning market, mosque, school, or any Moslem community area. He has 2 sons, whom came along with Hasim to Chiang Mai, and 2 daughters who stay Burma. His wife passed away several years ago. During the night they sleep on the road and always come to the mosque during iftar for free meals.          		 A mosque caretaker distributes foods during iftar (fast breaking). It is a local Moslem culture to serve foods during Magrib for anybody who comes.          		 Around 5pm, the afternoon market begins, selling various kinds of foods. The market only occurs on Ramadhan month. An ice cream seller waiting for customer next to some beggars who some of them are kids. Many of those beggars brought along their kids to beg for money.     Hidayatul mosque, the biggest mosque in Chiang Mai during iftar, the moment when Moslem breaking from their fast. There are only 7 Mosque in Chiang Mai, and one to another quite far away. The Moslem community lives near the mosque so they could often come to the mosque.          		 Another unexpected twist was witnessing a gathering at a local temple for the Sunday prayers. What was unexpected was to see traditional musicians and dancers at a temple rarely seen by tourists. As we watched from a overhead walkway, we felt like eavesdroppers in a spiritual communication.          		 The lotus, so much a part of their culture is seen throughout; in their art, architecture and in pots strewn across the city. What truly amazed me was how they incorporate their natural surroundings into their daily lives.          		 Wat Pho - a reminder of the great history of the beautiful country. The grand temple domes reaching for the sky, serve as a reminder of all the centuries of greatness this country has seen to become what it is today!: by nivi, Views[234]
         		 The cultural aspect of the city has also been incorporated into their daily schedule. For a country that thrives on tourism you expect to see the infamous lady boys performing a lively show. What amazed me was the amount of traditional folklore that is incorporated into the show.
