    I really loved this shot because as well as the rusting piplines and rusting jetty, the scraggly seaweed really made this place feel 'dead', yet full of emotions. I personally liked the grey water which lacked of any colour and any real feel to it but i thought that the way it looked rough conveyed the emotion of nature being angry at what we have done to it.: by callumthomas, Views[358]
         		 I was initially drawn to this particular object due to the vibrant colours of the waste. I thought the overcast day made this photo what it is. I took this shot because it displayed the colours of nature in the seaweed yet the rustiing iron and concrete is shown in the background.          		 The thousands of sheep inhabiting the island and providing a living for their owners seem to be the only ones who have always lived here and never wasted a thought on leaving. In fact they are so used to people passing by not noticing them that once you stop to take a picture they get all timid and frightened, like this one hiding in the tall grass.: by remote_isle, Views[269]
     
    At the same time a distinct feeling of remoteness will creep in. Combined with the harshness of the surrounding environment that makes you feel small compared to nature it will trigger an understanding as to why so many people have left these islands in the course of centuries.          		 At the very edge of Europe the Outer Hebrides are a beautiful composition of rock, sand and moorlands that has been braving storms and winds for thousands of years and with it its inhabitants.
