    After the
         		 Although the pool appears to be a hot spring it was lukewarm at best and we froze our butts off. Not to mention the elevation was 13,000 feet and very cold outside. : by danidawnandstevo, Views[418]
         		 This abandoned piece of machinery was used to capture pressurized steam coming from the geyser for power generation until they found out all of the geysers were connected.     Day 4 we visited Salar de Tara and saw some pretty spectacular rock formations. This entire area is know as a caldera or a super crater one of two largest in the world. The entire day was spent driving and sightseeing inside the caldera. : by danidawnandstevo, Views[331]

         		 Day two we visited Laguna de Chaxa Salt Flat home of one of three species of flamingo called the James Flamingo. The two other species are the Chilean and Andean Flamingo.          		 We traveled from La Serena to San Pedro de Atacama. On the way we saw this travel van and found out later from a french couple its a company called Wicked. They rented one with the Coyote eating the Road Runner. : by danidawnandstevo, Views[541]
         		 Beginning day one in San Pedro de Atacama we visited the Valle de la Luna. The entire area is an ancient ocean and the dry conditions left rivers of salt behind. : by danidawnandstevo, Views[371]
     
    We took a tour from La Serena to the Elqui Valley and visited a few of the sites including a museum dedicated to Gabriela Mistral a Noble Peace Prize winner for literature, a papaya market, a pisco sour distillery and at night we went to an observatory to look at stars and planets from a high powered telescope. : by danidawnandstevo, Views[412]

         		 If you ask someone from Argentina about anything they will tell you,
         		 Visited the Buenos Aires cemetery. It's an entire city block filled with the most prestigious dignitaries like Eva Peron the wife of Argentine President Juan Peron. She seems to be a pretty big deal. : by danidawnandstevo, Views[618]
         		 The Argentine folks really know how to do BBQ or asado. Meat and potatoes cooked over a wood fire, chopped tomatoes and for dessert, an apple. Doesn't get much simpler than that. : by danidawnandstevo, Views[647]
