         		 After being able to separate the guys from my camera I keep moving around! There is this family, very quiet and standing still. It surprises me so I stare a little!...they are actually observing as well! But again, what?: by looks, Views[348]

         		 My attention is constantly pulled towards the children. I can notice something different about those kids. It's not the way they play or smile...could be their eyes...I'm able to catch some of them staring at the horizon. What are they looking for?          		 Nearby the water it's another world, no less beautiful but much more disturbing. The place has its own colors, its own magic. I look one way and there is a family bathing, the other, a group of children playing in the mud with crows trying to eat whatever they can find.          		 A bunch of kids along with an elder guy is all smiles, as they pose with their photographs. I had done a small Help-Portrait session with these kids on my visit to Huchukpara, whereby I gave them a print of their portraits. None of them ever had a printed photograph of themselves before and this simple gesture lit up their priceless smiles!     Sujoy and his gang are having a ball (literally!) at the local ground. An intense game of football is underway on the swampy fields of the village under the blazing sun. It rained heavily just a few hours back and now the sun is shining in its full glory.          		 In the quaint hamlet of Huchukpara in Suri (Birbhum,West Bengal), Sujoy (the boy with the unbuttoned shirt) and his friends proudly pose in front of his Solar powered house. The Solar Panel can be seen at the background on top of an improvised bamboo pole.          		 The makeshift seating arrangement, in the form of camels. The tourists wre seated on the camels, giving them a better viewpoint, and without the hassles of frequent feet stamping, frequent view blocking and such stuff. On a deeper observation, the camels also seemed to spectate the race, as much as we humans spectate a running race in olympics.          		 The camel race at Sam sand dunes in Jaisalmer, is an annual event, which attracts a lot of audience, that include the foreigners/tourists and the nearby villagers. The tourists sat comfortably on camels to view the race, giving them a great height advantage over the ones standing and watching.          		 We must have seen and heard about horse race, dog race, even elephant race!. But it was quite surprising to see camels race! I always thought camels were very patient and usually sluggish. But in the last day of the desert festival at Jaisalmer, the camel race saw a huge crowd, with tourists and villagers from nearby villages, in equal numbers. The camel race was interesting to watch.
