I decided to use motion blur on the train and a stagnant 28th street pillar because, 1. That was the nearest station to me. 2. To convey the fact that the subway of NYC are so fast paced and so organized that, being my 1st time to the city, I was able to pick up and learn how to get around so easily. 3. With all the hustle and bustle there was always time to catch your breath and find yourself. by: stanjo_ Views[602] It was a late night in the city and it was Fashion’s Night Out, I was walking around with my wife and we turned a corner and had to wait for a walk light to turn green. My wife turned around and saw this person sitting there enjoying a smoke. She turned to me and said, “Quick, take a photo!” so I turn around and ask, what turned out to be, this man if he’d pose for a photo for me. He was more than happy to oblige and I was able to get this shot. by: stanjo_ Views[422] I was at my 1st NFL game with my cousins and these fans of rival teams were constantly going at each other. It took the focus out of the game for me and became about the fans! It was such a great experience and thought that this image summed up both sides of the argument with one gesture!     Having a coffee outside my hotel, I noticed the taxis constantly driving, honking, and working. It went out of my mind and I went about my day. That night I was in Times Square and noticed the same thing, which these taxis, and drivers never stop. I used a panning motion to portray that these workers never stop. by: stanjo_ Views[613] Sitting and catching my breath out side a shop that my wife loves I was watching this homeless man sleeping on the street. I noticed the people constantly walk past him and never once acknowledging him there. It made me sad but grateful for what I have. I took this photo to show how cold and naive people can be.     The girl was just strange. She kept hopping around, head tilted to one side while she watched her shadow moving along on the ground. I smiled and lifted my camera, signaling: He walked alone, his head always down looking at the ground. In the bustling street of Brooklyn at rush hour, he looked so small and quiet. In a sea of people in expensive suits in Bryant Park, central Manhattan, he would sit there for hours smoking and looking pensive. I wondered what it was. These two kindly souls invited us out on the town, took us to their favourite Italian restaurant (which produced the most delicious pizzas we'd ever come across - yes, a very big call!) and then to their favourite bar, and refused our insistent offers to pay for our drinks.
