So I decided to take this photo, although I can not be a winner, at least the world knew there are an important part for Indonesian especially in Indramayu, West Java. by: ziahmuharam Views[589] As our tour bus driver takes us down the three-hour route he plies daily, he passes a woman and kid riding home on a scooter, and they all pull over to the road shoulder. From the rear of the bus, we watch as he plants a kiss on the woman and pick his little girl up high in the air. He speaks no English, but when the little family gathering is over and it’s back to work, he climbs back in his seat, flashes a small crooked smile to himself, and hums a soft tune all the way down the road. by: jynkx7 Views[264] Just like anywhere in the world, the people of Kashgar too are inspired by dreams and fantasy.     At a small local bazaar, several patrons and stallholders put aside the realities of life and gather for a casual chat. Amidst a dusty desert town landscape, the Uyghurs find their joy in simple ways like this. by: jynkx7 Views[328] On the streets of Kashgar, a little Uyghur boy amuses himself with items he finds on the street, as his father metalsmiths a teapot over a bed of hot coal in front of his shop. Kashgar is an oasis city in the Taklamakan Desert of Xinjiang, and was a key post on the ancient silk road; Today there is still a lively trade of metal and clay pottery, carpets, silk, jewellery, fresh produce, and livestock. by: jynkx7 Views[1062] A view of Himalayas from Pokara. Pokara serves as a trekking base for the adventurous tourists. Watching the sunrise over here changed my perception towards life. Despite seeing millions of the tourists every year, people are really humble and content in their hard working daily life. Her smile irrespective of the weight she is carrying has the essence of the Nepal. Here pottery is a family job, the place is common for all the villagers. so everyone in the village work together. their mundane life is part of their religious life too. so even in the common places we can see the temples and buddha statue everywhere in the village. by: manikandanav Views[1187] For now, the last two generations of Hanunuo Mangyans who know their native craft of basket-weaving of Oriental Mindoro sun-drying the buri leaves, a type of palm. by: ivan Views[1197] Baye Omeng weaves their traditional indigo and white fabrics on her backstop loom.     Daily travels of a herder through these lush hills in this sun-drenched high altitude landscape with wind-swept skies makes Lesotho a whimsical paradise for a herder to daydream. by: faizafarah Views[215] The noise of passersby traveling on the road behind him gets the attention of this lone herder collecting his thoughts. He sits on the metal railing of a meandering highway while watching his herd in the distance as the sun glistens on his face. It is not uncommon for herdsman to cross paths with one another every so often in a country where it is estimated that three quarters of the population live in rural areas, where poverty is prevalent and herding is a necessary way of life for so many. by: faizafarah Views[177] Teboho roams with his cattle. Herders spend much of their time alone with their flock. In the highlands of Lesotho, where pastures are more scarce, herders can spend up to six months away from their families wandering with their herd. by: faizafarah Views[204] Teboho, a young herdsman from the same village as Makalo, is wrapped in the traditional Basotho blanket. He is the eldest grandchild and the family breadwinner. He began herding when he was 7 years old. Young boys who are trained to become herdsman begin their training around age six instead of attending school in order to support their families.     4 - A city where music has soul - the music is being played at every corner. I passed twice next to this mister before I took the photo. There were not many people waking through this street, yet he kept playing as if he was in the biggest concert on the world. This fact pushed me towards taking the photo of him and I didn't make a mistake, I can almost here his mellow voice coming out of the picture. by: midalzgb Views[184] 3 - A city where music has soul - masters at the peak of their performance. These were musicians at their best age. They clearly knew what they were doing and they followed the mood of the day with their choice of music. Even though these gentlemen play in the streets, they gave the best of them and one could clearly see the upper bass player giving all of his emotion while performing. by: midalzgb Views[232] 2- A city where music has soul - new kids on the block. There's no end to the creativity in this city. One can see young men of different races and cultural background gathered together around a thing that makes them one, gathered around a magic of making music. This was a band playing at a simple restaurant in French Market. I was attracted by an old microphone and the guitar player at first. This was a scene I was only able to see in the movies when I was a kid, so it was a very special moment for me. The missionaries abandoned the site in 1891, broken by extreme isolation and family illness.
