    My friend Alistair and I were working together in Brighton when a sudden flurry of snow started falling down upon Brighton. On our lunch break we cut out of the office and headed to the beach. Once there, in a spontaneous moment, Alistair started running wildly towards the ocean, his arms aloft and waving in the excitement of the moment as the West Pier loomed in the background like an ominous shadow. by: matthewcoleman Views[303] For many years of my life I had ridden over this bridge going between Brighton and London. This picture was taken the very first time I had ever seen it from the ground, where my friend Oli and I climbed onto it, and gazed straight down to what seemed like a near infinite passage. This is the Balcombe Viaduct on the outskirts of Haywards Heath, in the United Kingdom, in one of those still functioning and wonderful examples of British engineering. by: matthewcoleman Views[336] Again, working with the number three and the form of a triangulation, this picture was taken on the South Downs, in Sussex, during that same weekend of snow. I was drawn to the balance of colour between that of the sledge and the colour of the dog, of the direction of which each three is looking on the incline of the slope. by: matthewcoleman Views[201] This picture describes the relationship of a father and his daughter, of the strength of the father (my dear friend Ben) carrying his younger daughter on top of his shoulders. The composition of which is set against a triangulation of people, placed in twos, with the tip of a windmill barely creeping out of the top of the hill. The windmill creates its own triangle that subtly mirrors that of the human forms around it. by: matthewcoleman Views[213] A piece of public art, cutting out of the blanket of snow like a whale fin, made me drawn to this piece as an object of intrigue within a landscape. Signage detail the history of the Ifugao rice terraces, but a sign for a job opening also shows the financial opportunities for such areas frequented by tourists. Though tourism creates business opportunities, the practices of the old traditions might not be of interest to the young locals.     Laura and Jesus found each other in the crowd and hugged tightly for several minutes. That was the first of many nights that Jesus will sleep at home with his family again. Traveled from a coastal city in Tanzania, I never expected something that is more laidback. The township’s red brick houses and concrete houses give you a glimpse of the usual feel of this small Indian town. This modest and down to earth locality shows you “wheels” weave daily interactions. Bicycles, motorcycles, buses, scooters, buffalo or horse drawn carriage make the day roll out. by: averyfication Views[1258] One of the most popular transportations in this town is a motorcycle or most popularly called by locals as “bike.” Most of the time those who are well-off possess a bike or it is used by men to carry on with their businesses. by: averyfication Views[467]

It is one of the most convenient ways to move around the town -- going to school, running errands and making a living. Once you hear some bells ring, that signals a “cycle” is approaching. You'd see numerous mountain ranges as far as your eyes can reach with the mystique effect of the scattered clouds.
