There is drama unfolding all around you all the time. Here's one of those natural history moment. A spider wasp paralysing a spider(tarantula?). The wasp would then carry this spider to a nest, and lay eggs on the spider.     When you are in a rainforest, spotting wildlife is as exciting during the night as it is during the day. We spotted this Monitor Lizard during our night safari on the Kinabantan River. As I entered this park in Ayvansaray, what first attracted me to this scene was that it was the mom, not the boys, that was enjoying herself on the swing.     Going to the church and following the rituals is common for all generations. by: adelice Views[280] Always remembering the presence of the Divine. by: adelice Views[270] Thai people worship Buddha and you could see Temples everywhere you go in Thailand. There were thousands of people walking around me in hurry but the Monk with his spirit made me stop and think about how peaceful life was for a moment. by: rubybyrne Views[940] I took this picture of my grandma during the winter of 2007 in Hue (Vietnam). She was sitting on a chair with her legs parallel to each other and resting her arms around them. It’s a very typical way of sitting among people her age in Vietnam. My grandma has always been a little tiny lady with unbelievable strength. When she was young, people carried their products to the street market by a yoke. It is a thick bamboo stick which is strong enough to lift up two heavy baskets. The vendors put it over the shoulders and carried it miles and miles to the market. It was a common way for the vendors to bring food to the market. For more than 15 years, my grandma carried her products this way and her hands became very calloused. She traveled through a dangerous zone to sell the food to the troops from Vietnam and American war. It was a dangerous job and a bullet could hit you anytime. The strain on her back and shoulders from carrying such heavy loads (enough to sell to a group of 20 people) still bothers her. With a 3rd grade education, she had very few choices to made and she did what was necessary to keep her children alive. When I flew home, I showed my mother the picture and she started to cry. I know it was the emotion touched our heart deeply.It's like a feeling that it might be the last time you can see your grandma as she might not around the next time you come. by: rubybyrne Views[408] The picture tells the stories about the Amish. They choose to live without electricity and technology. There is no electricity pole leading to their houses as they use windmill to convey the energy of wind to pump water. Most of them are making a living out of farming activities and travel around in their horse buggy. They live within their community and paint their houses all white. When I visited Amish village, I had a chance to ride the horse buggy with the Amish and got to talk to them about their lives and culture.
