    Many refugee families lack a source of income, yet fishing along the mangroves provides self-sustenance as well as products to sell at the local market. Unfortunately, Ecuadorian authorities claim that the communities here are exploiting mangrove resources and must be evicted. In this photo, a notice on the wall warns residents of actions to enforce their eviction. by: tenzijth Views[864] A large portion of the refugees in San Lorenzo live near the mangroves in stilt houses. As the tides rise, the floor beneath the houses are cleaned of debris and waste. The wooden boards that lead to and between the houses test ones balance, especially after heavy rain.     Green is everywhere in the rain forest of el Chocó. I took this picture, frighten about falling into the water, not because of me, because of my camera, but it was worth it, the people of the region took me through this beautiful river, everything was quite, except the birds and the trees. The texture of the canoe and the movement of the rope in it are very important, but the most important thing is the pureness of green. by: iamcolombia Views[812] This pohoto was took in Chocó too. The funny thing here is that the houses are only painted in the front, because is what tourist see. The contraste between the girl and the yellow wall captured my attention, but the beautiful contrast between the yellow and the grey walls, are what made me be more proud about my photo. by: iamcolombia Views[990] This picture was taken in Chocó, maybe the most poor place in Colombia. This was the day I came, in the “biggest“ city of the region. I was trying to get somewhere because I was lost and no one, in the “rich“ side of the island help me. Then I got more into the island and entered to the town, and these is what I saw.
